Why does she have to say in a metaphorical way. mentioned that she chose the name Grey for Christian because there is nothing black and white about him. So I get to chapter 16, a lot of fucking has already happened and finally “50 Shades” is mentioned:īecause I’m fifty shades of fucked up Anastasia.(pg.269)Īnd then… nothing! So I did my own Googling and it’s still really vague. When someone finally mentions the movie title in their dialogue and I become excited for some reason. I thought that it’s something that I’d just have to wait for to be explained. We’ve covered a fairly good amount of this book and I still don’t know what 50 Shades of Grey means! Is that the mystery? What exactly is 50 Shades? Is that some sort of idiom I don’t know about.
